Resource Protection and Wetlands Prioritization

The state's wetlands and resource protection are priorities of the Plan. The Plan will identify the location and economic benefits of wetlands in the state, comply with Section 303 of the Emergency Wetlands Resources Act and the US Fish and Wildlife Service’s National Wetlands Priority Conservation Plan, and contain a list of wetland types that should receive priority for acquisition, with input from New Mexico Department of Game and Fish.

Check back here for updates as the Plan develops.
