Statewide Comprehensive Outdoor Recreation Plan (SCORP)

New Mexico State Parks is updating the Statewide Comprehensive Outdoor Recreation Plan (SCORP). This plan helps guide investments in outdoor recreation improvements such as parks, trails, and outdoor spaces all around New Mexico.

Community input is a vital part of this process.

The SCORP team invites you to participate in an upcoming focus group on a topic that aligns with your interest. At each meeting we will present a brief overview of the SCORP planning process and have discussions about a focused recreation-related topic. The goal for the focus groups is to understand community values, identify issues and barriers, and guide plan recommendations.

  • North Central Regional Meeting– Rio Arriba, Taos, Los Alamos, Santa Fe

  • Central – Sandoval, Bernalillo, Valencia, Torrance
